ACADEMY OF HEALTH AND BEAUTY IN CRACOW

The 250m² interior of the spa complex in an old town house in Dolne Młyny Street in Cracow. The complex includes a fitness gym and a beauty parlour. It was necessary to extend and modernize the building and renovate the historical front elevation. The main idea of the project was to preserve the old traditional character of the house, that is why the ancient brick walls, the ceilings and the tiled stoves have been carefully restored. The same happened to the wooden staircase, the wooden entrance and exit gates in the old hallway. The spacious lounge in the hall is the heart of the complex – it houses the reception desk and the cloakroom. The minimalistic style-line of the interior created by a sensitive approach to the detail together with the conscious use of natural materials retain the existing aura of authenticity characteristic of old tenement houses.
